JAKARTA After testing last May, Google finally added an ad to AI Overview, a summary tool based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Google Search. Summarical results will now include the product.

For example, when use looks for how to deal with dirt that is difficult to remove in their pants using Google Search, AI Overview will appear with various explanations from the web and include the product at the bottom.

They will display a stain remover product with sponsored information. Google explains that the product displayed as an ad will be adjusted to the query and response from AI Overview so that users can make the right purchase decision.

"This new advertising format is designed to help people find new brands and make the right purchase decisions. Ads will continue to display the clear and leading transparent 'Disponsored' label in our industry," Google explained.

The search engine developer with the world's largest market said it got a positive response when testing ads on AI Overview. According to Google, many feel helped by advertising.

"We've seen that people find direct ads on AI Overviews useful because they can quickly connect with relevant businesses, products and services to take the next step," Google said.

Even though it has been launched, ads on the new AI Overview have been launched in stages for users in the US who use mobile devices. It is not known when the ads for AI Overview will be extended to other countries.
