JAKARTA The future of TikTok Music, a music streaming service released last year, will end in the near future. The platform under ByteDance will close on November 28.
The news of the closure of this platform is conveyed directly on the official TikTok Music website. For now, users who have subscribed can still listen to songs until the set time. After that, all subscriptions will be cut off automatically.
"It is with a heavy heart that we convey that TikTok Music will be closed on November 28, 2024," said TikTok. "We would like to thank you for all your support, and we hope you (have) enjoyed the music."
The TikTok Music app may still be open after the set date. However, TikTok Music emphasizes that users will not be able to login, access various features on the platform, until they see a subscription package.
All TikTok Music subscribers are given until October 28 to move playlists to other platforms. Users can also ask for refunds until the last day of TikTok Music availability if they subscribe via Google.

This refund only applies if the user's subscription package passes from the closing date of TikTok Music. Users who subscribe via the Play Store will get a refund automatically, while payments via Apple must first submit.
"The refund will be processed automatically on that date (you don't need to take further action). Please wait until 7 working days so that the refund is credited to your account," explained TikTok Music.
TikTok Music is a replacement platform for Resso launched in Indonesia and Brazil in July last year. The platform is also available in Australia, Mexico and Singapore. ByteDance has proposed the TikTok Music trademark in the US, but this service was never released there.
