Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design: First Tri-Fold Phone Now Available For Pre-Order In China

JAKARTA Huawei has opened a pre-order for its first trifold phone, Mate XT Ultimate Design, which is scheduled to launch on September 10, 2024 in China. This phone can now be ordered first through China's e-commerce platform, JD.com, for those looking to get this latest technology earlier.

Although Huawei has not disclosed official price details, the Mate XT Ultimate Design will certainly be the first commercially available tri-fold phone, in contrast to concept phones such as the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 introduced earlier this month.

The pre-order page confirms some details about this foldable phone. The Mate XT Ultimate Design will go on sale in China on September 20, 2024 and is available in two memory variants: 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. Color choices are Ruihong and Xuanhei.

Based on the teaser released by Huawei earlier this week, Mate XT offers a slim and thin design when it opens. When it opens, the phone features a tablet-sized screen that is reportedly about 10 inches powered by a complex double hinge design. Huawei reportedly managed to keep the thickness of this phone below 5mm when it opened, an impressive engineering achievement if correct.

When folded, this phone turns into an ideal smartphone to put in the pocket. The back of the phone is inspired by Mate 60 RS, with a familiar octagonal camera module that houses a periscope telephoto lens. The back panel is coated with a luxurious vegan skin a touch of interest for phones that are likely to have premium prices.

Soal harga, masih menjadi rahasia.
