Samsung And KEY Again Held The Galaxy Gaming Academy 2024

JAKARTA - Samsung and KINCIR again organized the Galaxy Gaming Academy to attract young talents in the field of esports, especially in the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

Unlike the previous year, this year KINCIR and Samsung will hold roadshows in Jakarta and Bandung to recruit more Indonesian esports talents.

"This year we will expand again. So it's not only from one hub or one platform, but we also expand to SMA-SMA like that. Then we walk in two big cities, in Jakarta it's the same in Bandung," said Andi Airin as Head of Marketing - MX Samsung Electronics Indonesia at the Galaxy Gaming Academy 2024 press conference on Friday, August 23.

This year's Galaxy Gaming Academy will also be opened into three categories, including the Solo, Team, and Roadshow categories. Online registration of participants in the Samsung Galaxy Gaming Academy program has been open since August 23.

At this stage, Samsung and KINCIR will open 4 batch registrations with each batch to be selected into 32 teams. Later, the 128 teams that enter the selection stage will undergo an open qualifying series until the best 6 teams are found to advance to the next round.

As for the Roadshow category, Samsung will only choose one of the best teams in each city. This means that 8 teams from the Roadshow and Selection phases selected have the opportunity to take part in the coaching clinic provided by the Galaxy Coaches.

After the Clinic Coaching is complete, the eight teams will undergo a playoffs using two Samsung Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G phones to determine the best participants who will win the title as the Samsung Galaxy Gaming Academy champion.

From there, SGGA winners will receive more intensive training through special programs from the Galaxy Coach, namely Bjorn "Zeys" Ongs and Ryan "KB" Batistuta to compete in the Esports President's Cup tournament.

Online registration for SGGA 2024 has been opened from today, August 23 to September 12, 2024. Meanwhile, the roadshow qualification will take place on August 31, 2024 at Sentinel Cyber Arena, Jakarta and September 7 at the Gaming House Arena Point, Bandung.
