Google has launched a new application called Google Essentials designed to facilitate access to various Google services on Windows PCs. This application is part of Google's efforts to expand its ecosystem, including bringing Google Play Games to more Windows users.
In the early stages, Google Essentials apps will be available exclusively for HP devices, especially on consumer and gaming product lines such as Spectre, Envy, Pavilion, OMEN, Victus, and HP Brand. However, Google plans to expand the availability of this app to more laptops and desktops from various other manufacturers in the next few months.
The Google Essentials app will serve as an integrated access center, allowing users to access various Google services directly from their PC Start menu. The app includes fast links to Google Play Games, allowing users to enjoy various mobile games and PCs with support for cross-platform progress synchronization.
In addition to gaming, Google Essentials is also integrated with Google Photos and Google Messages, allowing users to manage photos and respond directly to messages from their PCs. The app also provides web shortcuts to Google productivity tools such as Docs, Drive, and Calendar. Applicable Google One users will also benefit from a two-month trial of 100GB of cloud storage.
Google emphasizes that this application offers convenience as well as full control for users. Users can delete individual Google services or even entire Google Essentials apps if they wish.
With this launch, Google is trying to make it easier for Windows PC users to access and take advantage of the various services and productivity tools they offer.
