JAKARTA - Platform X, or formerly known as Twitter, has finally launched password support on Android, after last April password support was launched for iOS.

"We have launched Passkey as a login option on Android," the company wrote in its latest announcement via its @Safety account on Thursday, August 15.

We've started rolling out Passkeys as a login option on Android!Try it out and send us any feedback.https://t.co/v1LyN0kAH7

Passkey is a feature that provides a safer and easier password alternative, designed to simplify the entry process on multiple devices.

Passkey provides better security than traditional passwords because it is created individually by your devices for each account, so it is not easily attacked by phishing and unauthorized access.

With this launch, X encourages users to sign up on the passkey to get some benefits, including:

A smooth log-in experience: Password makes the entry process easy and comfortable. Once the settings are complete, you can use the password to log in to your account on various devices without having to remember or reset the forgotten password.

Advanced security: Passwords provide a higher level of security for your account. Because it is uniquely created by your device, password keys are not too vulnerable to security threats such as fraudulent attacks, deception, or illegal attacks.
