JAKARTA - Kaspersky Premium's security solution for Windows has been 'Approved' in the 2024 Anti-Phishing Test conducted by AV-Comparatives.

In the test, Kaspersky's solution managed to detect 93 percent of the phishing URL, and became among the 15 other participants in detecting phishing.

This achievement strengthens Kaspersky's commitment to protecting users from potential loss of important personal data and ensuring a secure digital experience.

According to Kaspersky statistics, phishing is still a globally spread and very popular type of attack. In particular, during the first six months of 2024, Kaspersky's own Anti-Phishing system thwarted 515 million attempts to follow a phishing link.

In comparison, Kaspersky's latest annual report, Spam and Phishing 2023 reveals that 709 million phishing attempts were detected throughout 2023.

Anti-Phishing tests, conducted by AV-Comparatives, evaluate the efficacy of security solutions in protecting users from phishing threats during web browsing and web email usage.

Testing in 2024 involves an active phishing URL, which targets data such as login credentials for various online services including PayPal, banks, and social networks.

"AV-Comparatives proudly appreciates Kaspersky Premium's top-level performance for Windows in 2024 Anti-Phishing Testing," said Andreas Clementi, CEO and Founder of AV-Comparatives.

According to Clementi, Kaspersky's solution consistently shows stability in its results across the evaluation of anti-phishing AV-Comparatives run since 2011.

"We are proud to be able to consistently achieve important results in Anti-Phishing Testing, which highlights our ability to protect users from the growing landscape of phishing threats," said Alexander Liskin, Head of Threat Research at Kaspersky.
