Facebook's New Rules

Facebook is taking one more step that has a huge impact on its community. On Wednesday, March 17, the social media giant announced a lengthy document containing policy changes.

Through this new document, the company emphasizes that it will limit the accounts of individuals and communities who repeatedly violate the rules. Not only that, users will also see a notification when they join a community that is known to violate the policy.

Simultaneously, Facebook will also limit notification of invitations coming from the group. On the other hand, accounts that are already members will be made difficult to find posts from the group.

"We've thought about these steps in their entirety, along with decreasing the rate at which the group appears on the homepage, making it more difficult to find and minimizing other accounts joining the group that violate our rules," said Facebook VP of Engineering, Tom Alison, via FB. Newsroom, Wednesday, March 17th.

Will Block Accounts and Groups that Remain Angry

As the old saying goes, rules are there to be broken. And for the case of Facebook, it seems that the company often faces netizens with such typical.

As a result, the company also took firm action to delete and block the account in question if it was found repeatedly to violate community rules.

"When someone has repeatedly violated the group rules, we will block them from posting activity or or commenting on any group for a certain period of time," wrote Tom.

In addition, Tom also explained that his party would ensure that the account in question would not be able to invite other people and could not create new groups. According to Tom, these steps are aimed at blocking certain accounts using Facebook for bad purposes.
