JAKARTA Although YouTube is one of the most popular video platforms to use, this app still has flaws. One of the drawbacks is an irreversible playlist thumbnail. When a user creates a video playlist, thumbnails will use the top video. Users can access the Set As option via the YouTube website, but they can only choose thumbnails based on one of the videos in the playlist. This shows that the features available on YouTube still have some flaws. Not a few users who want to change thumbnails in their video playlists to make it more aesthetic so that the feature changes thumbnails are needed. Although this feature is not yet available, YouTube is developing this feature. It is not yet known when the feature will be added, but the strings are already visible in the beta version. Most likely, the stable version will not be launched in the near future.

First discovered by Android Authority, YouTube for Android with version 19.26.33 beta shows strings for thumbnail changes in playlists. These strings show that users can access thumbnails through the gallery. There are several dialogues that will appear when using these new features, such as Try Again, Close, and Upload Failed. That is, users must upload images according to the size of the image that has been determined by YouTube. It is not yet known what sizes are supported in this feature. However, based on current discoveries, users can only change thumbnails when they first create playlists. Users cannot change thumbnails in old playlists.
