JAKARTA The TikTok video platform launched a new feature known as Off The Record. This new feature will appear on the search page when users look for it, either using hashtags or not. In its official broadcast, TikTok says that this feature will highlight the activities of the world's top musicians when creating albums. Off The Record will provide an overview of how albums are made and how their ideas can come. "Every video will start with the introduction of their latest artists and albums, exploring thematic elements and creative vision. Viewers will be given an in-depth overview of the songwriting process and the inspiration of the lyrics that make up certain songs," TikTok said. Off The Record has featured several major artists such as Meghan Trainor, Charli xcx, Bleachers, Sadira, and others. When opening the Off The Record page, users will look at filters with the names of various names of the artists. When clicking one of the filters, the Off The Record page will display all the videos of the artist taken from its official account. Various videos that are shown will continue to be updated every week during June.

TikTok says that the launch of this new feature is a form of support for musicians. The company wants to encourage interaction between musicians and fans so that the album or single created can get support. "Off the Record is part of TikTok's ongoing efforts to support artists at all their travel points and deepen the relationship between artists and fans, which is only possible on TikTok," the company explained. TikTok does not explain which countries can access the Off The Record hashtag in the search bar. It is also not known whether this feature will be available in Indonesia because VOI has not seen its features to date.
