JAKARTA Meta continues to bring the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature into the application they support. Currently, Meta is developing a new feature to produce AI-based profile photos on WhatsApp.
Found for the first time by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has just launched the AI Profile Photo Maker feature in the beta version 2.24.11.17. As the name implies, WhatsApp users can replace their profile photo with the photo produced by this tool.
It looks like this AI-based profile photo-generator tool will appear when the user clicks on the pencil icon or edits in the profile image settings. So far, the tool's display is still very simple and only contains a box to enter the command.

This new feature works like other AI-based features. After entering the command, WhatsApp users have to wait until the image is created. After that, the user must save the photo first and make it a profile photo.
Unfortunately, the information from this feature is still very limited so it is not yet known whether the AI Profile Photo Making tool will provide a quick profile photo change option. It is also not known what AI photos this tool can produce.
There is no information regarding when this feature will be released to all WhatsApp users. Given that the new AI Profile Photo Making tool was released in the testing version, WhatsApp may still have to develop its features.
