IQOO Officially Launches Z9 And Z9x Phones In Indonesia

JAKARTA - iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo, finally launched the latest generation phones in the mid-range class on Tuesday, May 21. The two phones in the Z category launched by the Chinese company are Z9 and Z9x. Head of Product iQOO Indonesia Praditya Putra said that the Z9 series is a middle class phone that has a flagship class performance. By adopting the Empowering Life theme, the Z9 series iQOO will support the productivity of its users. "We strive to continue to innovate breaking boundaries in the mid-range class in order to present the best experience. The great enthusiasm of fans towards performance quality continues to be our driving innovating," said Putra. To distinguish the performances of both of its newest phones, iQOO adopts different processors. The Z9 model uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while Z9x is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. Both processors are derived from Qualcomm. iQOO Z9 will use a CPU switching which adopts a core design of 2.63 + 2.40 + 1.80 GHz. With a 64-bit architecture, this one device is claimed to be able to support multitasking activity and is equivalent to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 because it is equipped with ARM A715 and Core A510. This device has 6,000mAh battery life and uses Ultra Thin Graphite Battery technology. Therefore, its phone thickness only reaches 7.98 millimeters and weights are only 194.6 grams. This device still adopts 6K Vapor Chamber Cooling System technology, the flagship feature adopted from the flagship series to keep performance stable. Unfortunately, this technology will not be added to iQOO Z9x.

In terms of batteries, iQOO Z9x also has a 6,000mAh battery capacity and uses the Ultra Thin Graphite Battery feature. This device is only supported by 1,000 nits, while type Z9 has a peak brightness of HDR reaching 4,500 nits.

iQOO Z9 will be available exclusively at Tokopedia at a price of IDR 3,999,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The iQOO Z9 variant 8GB+256GB will be priced at IDR 4,299,999 and the iQOO Z9 12GB+256GB variant is sold at a price of IDR 4,699,000.

Meanwhile, the iQOO Z9x series is available exclusively only through Shoppee. iQOO Z9x 8GB+128GB is sold starting at a price of IDR 2,999,000, the iQOO variant Z9x 8GB+256GB at a price of IDR 3,299,000, and the iQOO Z9x 12GB+256GB variant is sold at a price of IDR 3,699,000.

These two phones can be competitors from the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and the Realme 12 Pro. The Galaxy M55 5G uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Realme 12 Pro processors using the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Both of these phones already use Android 14, the same as the Z9 series.
