Hoax: Hackers Can Steal Finger Sidik From Two Finger Selfie Photos

JAKARTA Many articles and posts on social media say that hackers can steal your data by relying solely on selfie photos. If you've posed two fingers, you have to be careful. Information circulating says that hackers can take fingerprints from selfie photos posing two fingers. These cybercriminals will enlarge their images, copy your fingerprints, then access your phone with the fingerprint sensor they took. However, is it true that this fingerprint theft is very easy to do? In fact it is not. Citing Freedom ID, identity protection service providers, fingerprint theft cannot be done, even the theft scenario doesn't make sense. The reason is, when hackers enlarge the finger image, they only find blurry images, not fingerprints to produce biometric data.
