OpenAI Launches Ability to Use ChatGPT Without an Account

JAKARTA - OpenAI announced that starting today, everyone can use the ChatGPT service instantly, without having to register or have an account.

"The essence of our mission is to make tools like ChatGPT widely available so that people can experience the benefits of AI," the company wrote in an announcement on its official website quoted Tuesday, April 2.

More than 100 million people in 185 countries use ChatGPT every week. OpenAI emphasized that the launch of ChatGPT without an account will be carried out in stages, so that later ChatGPT can be accessed by everyone throughout the world.

Not only does this update provide free AI access to the public, it will also provide companies with more training data and possibly encourage more users to create accounts and subscribe to GPT-4 access.

“We can use what you provide to ChatGPT to improve our model for everyone. "If you wish, you can disable it via Settings - whether you create an account or not," the company added.

Not only that, OpenAI has also introduced additional content protections for this experience, such as blocking commands and generations in broader categories.

However, if you use ChatGPT without an account, you should be prepared to lose the benefits when you create an account including the ability to save and review your chat history, share chats, and unlock additional features such as voice chat and special instructions.
