JAKARTA - In the Microsoft Ignite event which took place virtually through the Altspace community platform, Microsoft showed a new product called Mesh. This is HoloLens AR (Augmented Reality) platform and Windows Mixed Reality VR (Virtual Reality) platform into one service.

Interestingly, Microsoft also features Pokemon from the Pokemon Go game that run around in HoloLens 2. So that the wider public can guess a little about how this service offered by Microsoft is realized.

It is known, Niantic has worked with Microsoft to develop a concept version of Pokemon Go. And from these demonstrations, users can take a peek at the future direction of the game's development.

The demo video shows how HoloLens users can see Pokemon in the wild. In fact, users can also feed Pokemon using berries, of course, in virtual form.

Not only that, HoloLens users can also experience Pokemon battles with other trainers in a completely different experience. There is a menu in HoloLens that can be used to access the Pokemon Go game settings.

Unfortunately, Niantic emphasizes that this demo is not a standalone application. Also, these features are not yet available to broad consumers. Even so, fans can guess a little about the evolution of the software and hardware that the company offers.

Which can be useful as a direction in the journey of AR to become a computing platform that has a big impact on life, ”explained Niantic CEO and founder John Hanke through an official release.

Through the launch, Microsoft hopes Mesh can encourage technology developers to create more combined reality-based applications.
