JAKARTA The limited supply of Bitcoin is showing significant growth potential in the future. Samson Moscow, CEO of Pixelmatic, in an interview with "What Bitcoin Did," expressed his belief that Bitcoin could penetrate the US $ 1 million mark (around Rp. 15 billion) in the near future, perhaps even before 2025 ends.

Moscow highlights the imbalance between Bitcoin demand and supply as the main factor behind its predictions. With ETF absorbing up to 4,000 daily Bitcoins, and exchanges storing only about 2.2 million Bitcoins, it predicts that the supply of available Bitcoins will be drained soon.

Reporting from CryptoBriefing, the concept of the "Vablen effect" introduced by Moscow suggests that the increasing value of Bitcoin will make it more desirable. He argues that when Bitcoin reaches a gold-equivalent market capitalization, estimated at between 450,000 and 500,000 US dollars (around Rp7,057 trillion to Rp7,842 trillion) per coin, this crypto asset will begin the process of demonetizing gold.

Moscow believes that the media narrative will support the transition from gold to Bitcoin, mainly because of its high institutional interest in Bitcoin. Big financial institutions and companies have started adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets, signaling an unprecedented level of trust in these crypto assets.

The next scheduled Haling Bitcoin, which will cut mining rewards to half and limit further supply, is expected to provide a significant price boost.

With Moscow's extensive experience in the crypto industry and its previous role in Blockstream, its views gain added weight amid global economic uncertainty and the threat of fiat inflation.
