JAKARTA - Google introduced a new feature for Google Workspace users, which allows them to set an example of how to pronounce their names correctly.

"From your Google account settings, now you can record your name and share its pronunciation with other users," Google wrote in its official blog quoted Tuesday, December 12.

Google also noted that this feature will be available to Google Workspace Business Starters, Business Standard, Business Plus, Essentials Starters, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Essentials Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Frontline Starter, Frontline Standard, and Non-profit customers.

Meanwhile, Google Workspace Education Fundals subscribers, Education Standard, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, may not be able to see this feature.

When the feature has been launched (and if you are at a compatible Workspace level), you will see a microphone button next to your name or play button next to someone else's name on their profile card.

With this feature, you can give an example of how to pronounce correctly from your name. The caption can be played from your profile card on various Google Workspace tools such as Gmail or Google Documents on a web or mobile device.

This feature has started rolling out since December 11, and will be released in stages to all Workspace users.
