JAKARTA Spotify, a music streaming platform, has personalized music capabilities based on the user's music history. Although very useful, this ability could be turned off.

Based on the findings of MacRumors, the ability to turn off this personalization recommendation is visible in beta. That is, Spotify is testing this capability before it is released in general to all users.

When this recommendation is turned off, users will not get new music recommendations from the Spotify system. Most likely, Spotify will only present trending or popular recommendations.

This new capability can be good news for users who are dissatisfied with the Spotify algorithm. Although Spotify uses Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features, the music presented may be far from the taste of its users.

This personalized recommendation combines machine learning and AI-based recognition methods. This feature will analyze user history based on the genre and the time to listen to the music.

Fortunately, this new capability comes in the form of an option. This means that users can choose whether they will still get music recommendations or not. All go back to the user's choice.

For now, there is no further information regarding the ability to turn off this music recommendation. It is also not known whether Spotify will actually release this capability in the future.
