JAKARTA - Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said they were working on Threads' Application Programming Interface (API), which allows developers to connect one app with another.

Mosseri's statement came as she responded to a post by journalist Casey Newton, (@Crubler) who was talking to users about TweetDeck's similar experience for Threads.

"Has anyone already made the Thread-Deck type? Does @Crubler know this? I think he should do it," wrote one of Threads user @loweeda.

Then, Newton replied to the post by saying, "No, because there is no API yet. Hopefully one day."

"We're working on it. My concern is that this will mean more publishing content and no more content creators. But it looks like we still need to solve this," Mosseri replied.

Not long ago, Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg also announced that Threads now has 100 million monthly active users.

Like Mosseri, she is optimistic about Threads' future, and says that there is a good opportunity to reach one billion users in the next few years.

On Friday, October 27, Meta announced that it was testing a new feature on Threads, to show the number of views on posts on its platform.

Similar to on X, the feature of the number of views is said to be very useful for giving people a better picture, of their reach.
