Ericsson Appoints Krishna Patil As Head Of Ericsson Indonesia

JAKARTA - On Friday, October 20, Ericsson officially appointed Krishna Patil as Head of Ericsson Indonesia, as well as President of Ericsson's legal entity in Indonesia replacing Jerry Soper who had been relocated back to Europe.

Previously, Krishna was Vice President & Head of Global Customer Unit Bharti and Head of India Service Providers, Nepal & Bhutan in Ericsson. Over the past 12 months, he has overseen India's rapid 5G launch for Bharti Airtel.

In this new position, Krishna will be responsible for encouraging business and overseeing company operations in Indonesia, and remain part of the regional executive leadership team Ericsson Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India.

Krishna has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector including executive leadership positions in Ericsson throughout India. Prior to joining Ericsson in 2004, he was responsible for the Asia-Pacific region with Lucent Technologies, based in Singapore.

Krishna also spent two years in Indonesia building and leading the Lucent network operations organization. Through Krishna's extensive experience, the company sees it as an invaluable asset for its new role and responsibility in Indonesia.
