Providing credible information

To help voters get the latest information and get to know the candidates better, Google presents:

Cooperation with local partners

To improve local community skills that are less served with digital literacy capabilities, Google.org, Google's philanthropic organization, will continue to support the Indonesian Anti-Slander Society (MAFINDO) with a grant worth USD 2.5 million (IDR 38.4 billion) to increase the coverage of the Tular Narar program.

The main focus of this program is to provide facilities and equip vulnerable groups, such as young people and the elderly, to be able to identify misinformation, hoaxes, and hate speech ahead of the election.

Campaign

Google Indonesia and Jumble partnered with the General Elections Commission (KPU), the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Moonshot, Internet Lab Safer (SAIL), Fact Check, Media Narrative, and Vindes Corp in launching the #RecheckBeforeKegocek campaign to help Indonesians build mental models and become more resilient in the face of misinformation and disinformation.
