Bitcoin Holder From 2012 Send 520 BTC To Another Address

JAKARTA - September 2023 witnessed the revival of a number of bitcoins that have been inactive for a long time since 2012. On September 18, 909 BTC worth more than 24 million US dollars (around Rp. 344 billion) changed hands.

Not only that, this momentum continued to the next day when another transfer from Bitcoin owners from 2012 moved 519.95 bitcoins, with a value of more than 14 million US dollars (approximately Rp199 billion).

On Monday, five BTC transactions from 2012 were carried out. However, these activities did not stop there. On Tuesday, another explosion occurred when an additional 519.95 BTC changed hands. At the block level of 808,426, the address "15ZuB" moved ten bitcoins worth 270 thousand US dollars (approximately IDR 3.8 billion).

This digital wallet address appeared on October 7, 2012. Furthermore, in block 808,437, ten other bitcoins from 2012 were released from the address "1MLs3," which came from 11 November 2012. Then, in block 808,438, there was a similar movement, with ten other bitcoins moving.

All of these transactions came from the address "1365X," which was created on December 12, 2012. All these three transactions have a "moderate" privacy rating of 55, according to the evaluation of blockchair.com's privacy assessment tool.

So, so far, there are a total of 17 transfers from 2012 that occurred in September 2023. And interestingly, 13 of them occurred in just two days, namely on September 18 and 19.

Each transaction is made from the address using the "send everything" feature, either for payments to the exchange or just for moving assets. This shows that the owner of this bitcoin has decided to reactivate the 11-year-long digital currency.

This event is in the spotlight in the crypto world, and observers continue to monitor the further developments of bitcoin re-awakening after nearly a decade.
