JAKARTA - Google has a myriad of unique projects under development, one of which is 'GameSnack'. A lightweight gaming platform that can be played on the web or on a smartphone with a slow internet connection.
These light games are developed by Lab 120, Google's experimental unit. Where they develop games with high visual quality but can be played on any device, without having to have fast specifications.
"GameSnack based on HTML5 capable of running on 3G networks, speed 1 Mbps and devices with 1 GB RAM," wrote on the Google blog.
Interestingly, this game platform can be played through the GoGames feature in the Gojek application. Google sees the potential of Gojek as a leading technology platform in Southeast Asia that aims to facilitate daily activities.
"Through this partnership, we will provide a more accessible gaming experience for users in Southeast Asia, starting from Indonesia," continued Google.
There are at least six light games from GameSnack that can be played via the GoGames application on Gojek. Available game titles such as Bridge of Doom, Bubble Woods, Road Fury, Groovy Ski, Jump with Justin, and Jewelish Blitz.
All of these games can be played anytime and anywhere for free. Google is also still looking for game developers to join them in adding more quality games to the GameSnacks catalog.
