JAKARTA - After announcing the ad revenue sharing initiative from X ( formerly known as Twitter), the Kraken crypto exchange proposed the possibility of accepting payments with Bitcoin BTC.

Community X responded positively to the tweet and praised the suggestion. VJ Crypto Guerreier said that it would be great if CEO X, Elon Musk, could start accepting payments with Dogecoin DOGE. However, another user on the platform, ixela.lens, responded that for now, it might be more realistic to accept payments with "Web Money."

After the anticipated wait, X has finally introduced an ad revenue sharing program for eligible creators around the world. This initiative allows creators to accept part of the revenue generated from the ads displayed in response to their content on platform X. According to developers, this step is a major step in X's commitment to supporting individuals in obtaining direct livelihoods on this recently rebranded platform.

Creators with at least 15 million impressions in the past three months, with at least 500 followers and a blue verification subscription, will be eligible for payment. Meanwhile, X has appointed financial technology company Stripe as a payment processor for payments.

According to a Cointelegraph report, Stripe launched a genuine fiat-to-crypto entry service aimed at improving the crypto purchasing process for customers in the United States. If Musk's platform introduces crypto payments, this entrance service could provide benefits. However, there are no indications or plans from developers of X regarding crypto-based payment implementations.

Crypto payment support has been available since April 2022, when Stripe introduced crypto payments to creators of Twitter. The possibility of crypto payments rolling out on social media platforms has been a topic of conversation for some time, with speculation suggesting that DOGE and BTC could be some of the starting coins X supports.
