JAKARTA - The pandemic has paralyzed various elements, including Apple's business. The technology giant from Cupertino, United States (US) was forced to again close a number of Apple Stores.

There are at least 20 Apple authorized stores closed in several states in the US. The closure was carried out because the number of COVID-19 cases continued to increase sharply.

Quoted from its official page, the company also provides data on a number of its closed stores. This data can be seen by Apple fans whether the stores in their area are closed or not, as reported by SlashGear.

Apple's authorized outlets that were closed included stores in North Carolina, Texas and Georgia. All three regions have a high increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

This includes a number of closed stores in Texas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. There were a dozen other outlets that had to be closed as a precaution for COVID-19.

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple also closed five of its official stores in North Carolina, as well as five other stores in Georgia. The company announced that this decision was temporary in nature, taking action "with extreme caution" in light of the recent spread of COVID-19.

"Due to the current COVID-19 condition in some of our service communities, we are temporarily closing shops in this area," Apple said in an official statement.

Even though many outlets and stores are closed, Apple said that consumers can still repair their damaged devices. Including taking the device that has been serviced.

"We are taking this step very carefully while monitoring the situation closely, and we hope our team and customers will return as soon as possible."

Please note, this action is not the first time Apple has done. Previously in several European countries, the company has also closed a number of its official shops due to the pandemic.

It is not yet known how much loss Apple has to bear from the closure of a number of its outlets and stores. However, Apple still sells iPhone, iPad and Mac devices online.
