JAKARTA - Microsoft has just officially announced the integration of Bing Chat to Swiftkey for Android and iOS, where users can access and interact directly with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot.

SwiftKey has been part of Microsoft's family since 2016. This tool comes up with AI-powered predictive text technology to make SMS easier for users, but this time Microsoft is taking further steps.

By integrating Bing Chat into Swiftkey, Microsoft presents three main ways, namely Search, Chat, and Nada.

Once the user downloads and installs the update to the device, the Bing Chat icon will appear on the keyboard. From this point, users will be able to choose how they want to interact with it.

Chats are available to help make it easier for users when looking for information somewhere, such as good restaurants in certain areas and others.

With the Nada feature, users can communicate more effectively by using AI to adjust the ongoing text in any situation.

The Nada feature can also help users sound more professional, relaxed, polite, and concise enough to post social or when sending professional emails.

"We rely on so many mobile apps in everyday life, both for work, personal needs, and all of them, so we want to put the AI-supported Bing feature on your finger in the most meaningful way to you," said Microsoft AI Senior Director, Search and Marketing, Divya Kumar, quoted Friday, April 14.

While in the Search function, users can quickly browse the web from the keyboard, without switching apps. This new feature on SwiftKey can be accessed in all markets where Bing is only available and anyone can use Search now.

However, to access the Nada and Chat features, users are required to enter an approved Microsoft Account to access the new Bing Chat preview.

Microsoft also brings an update to the functionality of translators in the mobile Bing application. Now it offers masculine and feminine translations when translating from English to Spanish, French, or Italian, to avoid gender bias.

Users can choose a translation based on gender that best suits their context. As recently announced, the new Bing Chat is also present in Skype.

Since the release, Microsoft has expanded access, so everyone in the group can chat with Bing Chat, only one person in the group needs to have access to preview.

Bing Chat can be used to, resolve debates, help plan group trips, or find restaurants.

Just like on desktop, the Bing Chat chat response in the Skype app is quoted with a web link to the source, so users can re-check where the information came from.

Finally, Bing Chat is also now also available through the Microsoft Start app, for users who have removed the waiting list.

With the integration of Bing Chat on Microsoft Start, this tool can find out what users are interested in, all in one application.

Personalized news feeds, including premium content from hundreds of global publishers, keep users informed, entertained, and display sports scores, weather forecasts, stock prices, shopping offerings, and more.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
