List Of Xiaomi Phones That Can Get MIUI 12.5 Update

JAKARTA - Last December, Xiaomi introduced MIUI 12.5, the successor to MIUI 12. At that time, the company claimed this firmware was lighter, faster and more efficient than the previous version. The MIUI 12.5 update will also bring an upgrade package with less memory consumption.

At launch, Xiaomi revealed that there were several series that were included in the first wave of updates. Now, Xiaomi has officially launched a list of devices that can be upgraded to MIUI 12.5.

Whereas for Redmi devices that will receive an update, they are Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro, Rdemi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30S Extreme commemorative edition, Redmi K30 Extreme commemorative edition, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro , Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 7 Pro.

As many have expected, this update will put more emphasis on the Xiaomi smartphone model which was only launched in China. However, the company promises that it will present MIUI 12.5 Beta for global products. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the update schedule.

New MIUI 12.5 Features

When Xiaomi introduced MIUI 12.5, the company claims this interface layer firmware has a better "MIUI Light Cone Motion Effect Architecture" than MIUI 12. This includes special threads for gesture navigation, increased response time, and improved UI animations.

1. Sounds of Notifications from Nature and Wild Animals

2. Privacy and Security

In terms of privacy and security, Xiaomi presents several new mechanisms in MIUI 12.5. These include clipboard protection, a sandbox mechanism for file storage, fuzzy positioning for location features, and a browser.

Clipboard Protection will later save the application log and then notify the user who is over-reading the copied content. Fuzzy Positioning is Xiaomi's new feature that functions to disguise the location of the device by several meters.

3. MIUI +

Xiaomi presents a new feature called MIUI + (Beta). This feature serves to connect a smartphone with a laptop or computer. That way, users can more easily operate a smartphone via a laptop.

Features on a smartphone that can be run via a computer or laptop include viewing notification windows or phones, copying or pasting text, running applications, opening websites, to saving screenshots on the smartphone.
