JAKARTA - Microsoft has again made its browser more useful by integrating the Dall-E-backed Bing Image Creator to Edge, hereby users can produce special Artificial Intelligence (AI) art directly within it.

"This feature will help you create images that don't exist yet, supported by the latest Dall-E model from our partners on OpenAI, directly from Microsoft Edge", Microsoft representative Roger Capriotti said in a blog post, quoted Monday, April 10.

"If you've ever found yourself you need a very specific visual for social posts or even PowerPoint, Image Creator can help you find what you need. Edge is now the first and only browser with an integrated AI image generator."

It is known, Dall-E is a little similar to ChatGPT, which can produce images via text orders. Both are Microsoft-funded OpenAI startups over the past three years.

Users can enter prompts for images, such as asking Dall-E to produce a picture of a comfortable cabin in the forest with sunlight peeking through trees, so this tool will get some mixed results.

To use this feature, users need an account and run the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Then, click the three-dot menu at the top right, select Help and feedback and About Microsoft Edge.

Later, users will see the Image Creator button on the sidebar located on the right of the browser with an icon such as a small painting and a brush in front of it. Then, enter the prompt, and the user will see four different image options to choose from.

"After you select what suits your needs, you can download it and add it to your document or upload it to social media," Capriotti said.

In addition to adding Dall-E to Edge, Microsoft is also presenting an efficiency mode update that gives users better battery performance and more control over how devices consume power.

This feature is useful when the user's device battery runs out, the efficiency mode will be active. This update also gives users more options on how they want to save battery life.
