Twitter Will Only Show Tweets From Verified Accounts On Timeline For You

JAKARTA - Not finished with an update to his social network, Elon Musk recently said that starting April 15, Twitter users will only see verified accounts on the For You timeline.

"April 15, only verified accounts are eligible to be included in the recommendations for you," Musk said on Twitter on Tuesday, March 28.

According to the Tesla boss, the move he took this time was the most realistic way to deal with the advanced Al bot herd that took over the Twitter homepage.

Meanwhile, Musk also mentioned that "verified" bots that do not disguise themselves as humans qualify for display on Twitter's For You timeline.

So basically, it can be said that you should be a paid user, a brand, or a government official to be recommended by Twitter's algorithm.

"It's okay to verify bot accounts if they follow service requirements & don't disguise themselves as humans," Musk wrote further.

On the other hand, Twitter has also announced that it will start deleting old blue ticks on April 1. Because according to Musk, the tick is "absurd."

Musk also said that in the future, only verified accounts could participate in polls. However, this announcement is still abstract, whether it was meant to be a poll created by Twitter or all polls on the platform.
