Twitter's New Feature Development: Blue Tick Verification Can Be Hidden

Elon Musk's social network, Twitter is reportedly developing a new feature that allows users to hide blue verification checks on their accounts.

This development process was first discovered by mobile app developer Alessandro Paluzzi on Twitter, who said the company seems to continue to improve the user's ability to have more control over his personal account.

"Twitter continues to improve the ability to control everything related to account and identity verification by adding the option to display or hide blue ticks on your profile," he said on Twitter.

Based on the screenshots shared, it can be seen that Twitter will provide users with the option to hide the blue tick from their account. They can also bring it back, by re-verifying.

Although it is not certain how it works, users who want to hide blue ticks also still have to verify their government ID to use this feature.

This announcement comes after Twitter officially said it would remove all old verification checks on April 1. Because according to Musk, the blue ticks that used to be considered unreasonable.

Twitter also announced that Twitter Blue subscriptions are now available globally, to all users around the world.

In Indonesia itself, if you want to subscribe to Twitter Blue then you have to pay Rp120,000 per month if you go through the web, and Rp165,000 per month if you use iOS and Android phones.
