JAKARTA - The official price of Chery Omoda 5 officially appeared at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2023. A month earlier, Chery had exhibited Omoda 5 at IIMS for IDR 328 million but had pre-booking status.

Now the official price of Omoda 5 in GJAW 2023 starts at IDR 329 million or differs from one million from the pre-booking price.

For this difference, Harry Kamora, as Vice-Chairman Chery Sales Indonesia, revealed that the public's high enthusiasm for Omoda 5 was the reason for not setting a higher price. For 10 days of pre-booking, his party recorded 500 units of Vehicle Ordering Letter (SPK).

"We see that there are a lot of euphoria for people to buy Omoda 5, in the end we actually increase (the price). In addition to competition, we want to win," Harry said at a press conference at GJAW 2023.

Since the official price release has been issued, it means that the price for pre-booking has been closed.

Chery released two types of Omoda 5, namely Omoda 5 Z and Omoda 5 RZ. Chery sells the price of Omoda 5 Z worth IDR 329 million. As for type RZ, it costs IDR 399 million.

Regarding specifications, both Omoda 5 Z with Omoda 5 RZ has the same dimension and engine. Both have a dimensions of 4,400 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,585 mm and a wheelbase measuring 2,630 mm.

For machines, there are two engine variants in Omoda 5, namely TGDI 1,600 cc which can power 194 dk and torque 290 Nm. Then, the second variant is 1,500 cc TCI with a power of 155 dk and a torque of 230 Nm.

However, what distinguishes type Z from RZ is that there are dual tone colors and red strips in the RZ variant which makes it look sporty and aggressive. Meanwhile, for Z there is no.
