JAKARTA - Microsoft has announced that Outlook apps that can be used for free on macOS are now available on the App Store, to assist you in rearranging emails, reading newsletters, and much more.

One of Outlook's advantages is to help you manage multiple accounts in one application. With the free Outlook on macOS, you no longer need a Microsoft 365 subscription or license.

The tech giant also said that, when you log into Outlook with a personal email account, you will get company-level security, to protect your email, calendar, contacts, and files.

"With Outlook, you will get an original and modern user interface that has been designed and optimized for macOS. The new outlook is optimized for Apple Silicon, with sharp performance and speed of synchronization faster than the previous version," Microsoft said in an announcement found by Engadget.

Outlook on Macs has more features to integrate into Apple's platform. For example, to help you stay aware of emails and calendars while using other apps, you can view the agenda using widgets and see reminders at the Notification Center.

Microsoft also presents a new feature called Handoff. With this feature, you can continue the task using iOS or Mac devices.

However, please note that the Handoff feature requires downloading Outlook for Macs from the App Store and logging into your iOS and macOS devices using the same Apple ID.

In the future, Microsoft will also launch a new Outlook Profile, which will allow you to connect your email account to the Apple Focus experience. With Outlook Profile, you won't get unwanted notifications at any given time.
