JAKARTA - PT Champion Bike (JB) and PT Sentramitra Dayautama are working together to create new breakthroughs in the two-wheeled electric vehicle industry. JB, a subsidiary of PT Gaya Abadi Perfect Tbk (SLIS), will produce electric motors with a distance of 180 km, which is an advancement of the average distance traveled by electric two-wheeled vehicles today which is only about 100 km.

Until now, the average electric two-wheeled vehicle is only able to cover a distance of about 100 km. This breakthrough was marked by a cooperation agreement with the industrial battery provider company PT Senttramitra Dayautama which was carried out at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IMS) 2023, at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Saturday, February 25.

"This collaboration is carried out as a form of our commitment to help encourage the implementation of Indonesia towards zero emissions," said SLIS President Director Edi Hanafiah Kwanto. Through this collaboration, the type of lithium battery will be developed with a capacity of 60V 75AH. This type of battery is a leading type that has high safety and longer battery resistance.

This is a technological development progress that results in longer distances. Logistics companies to online motorcycle taxis are the markets that electric motorcycles will be targeted with long range or long distance capacity. "With this distance, we will have the potential to target a wider market that has never been obtained by other electric motorcycle companies," said PT Operations Director of Abadi Perfect Gaya, Wilson Teoh, quoted by Antara.

In addition to logistics companies and online motorcycle taxis that can use Selis with long range battery capacity for operational vehicles, people with high mobility who travel long distances also do not need to be wary when they want to choose electric motors.

In developing lithium battery technology, Sentra is also focused on supporting the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) by producing the entire domestic lithium battery module. Previously, on February 16, Selis launched the Selis GO Plus electric motor which was able to cover a distance of 140 km with two Lithium lon batteries and uses a strong motor of 2,000 Watts. Now, Selis said it would re-develop battery capacity capable of traveling up to 180 km.
