Must Be Prepared, Ability To Tweet 4,000 New Characters Available For Twitter Blue Customers In The US

JAKARTA - The joining of Elon Musk as Twitter's new CEO has made many changes on the platform. One of them is new features for Twitter Blue subscribers.

One of Musk's long- promised Blue features is the ability to tweet longer than ever. On Thursday, February 9, Twitter finally launched the capability for Blue subscribers in the United States (US).

Based on the announcement shared this morning, Twitter said Blue subscribers in the US can now type up to 4,000 characters, from previously only 280 characters.

This change may greatly impact, given that Twitter is a micro blogging platform, where people want to get short, dense and clear information on it.

While it had sparked controversy over the appearance of the long tweets that would damage the user's timeline, it seems Musk is confirming that a lengthy tweet will get the same space as tweets in general.

So, if the tweet appears on your timeline, you will see it like a tweet in general. Then you can click "show more" to see tweets in longer versions.

"But don't worry, Twitter is still Twitter. We know longer tweets can mean a lot of scrolling, so it will be limited to 280 characters on your timeline and you'll see a request for "show more" to read the entire Tweet," Twitter sincerely said.

Although this capability is only for Twitter Blue subscribers in the US, everyone can see these long tweets wherever you are.
