Adobe Flash Player Officially Ended January 12th, Users Are Requested To Remove Programs If They Want Their Computers To Be Safe

JAKARTA - Adobe announced that they will no longer provide support for Flash Player after December 31, 2020. Users are advised to remove the program from their computers to secure the system before the January 12 blocking.

"Adobe will block Flash content running on Flash Player starting January 12, 2021. Adobe highly recommends that all users immediately remove Flash Player to help protect their systems," Adobe said in their official website, quoted Saturday, January 2.

Even though it has been discontinued, Flash Player will only disappear from the computer system if deleted by the user. "Uninstall Flash Player will help secure your system because Adobe does not intend to issue security updates or patches after the expiration date," said Adobe.

The browser can start blocking Flash Player after expiration, end-of-life. Adobe also no longer provides a page for downloading Flash Player after December 31, at this time the link to download the program is not there.

If the user finds another website that provides Flash Player downloads, Adobe declares that version has not been released by Adobe. They advise against downloading the application because illegal versions of the software are a source of viruses and malware.
