JAKARTA - As a popular social media platform today, Twitter is committed to helping everyone on Twitter to keep user accounts safe.

"If you can still log in, start by changing your password. Make sure your email address is safe, review third-party apps that can access your account, and consider using 2FA," the company wrote in a tweet, Thursday, January 5.

If you look at suspicious behaviors as mentioned earlier, some of the Twitter recommendations that you should take are as follows:

Change password

You can change your password from the Password tab in the settings. If you go out, open Login and clickUse Password to reset your password. Please select a strong password that you have never used before. If you can't log in, your account may have been hacked

Make sure your email address is protected

Make sure the email address attached to your account is safe and only you can access it. You can change the email address of the Twitter (iOS or Android) app or by logging into twitter.com and visiting the account Settings tab.

Revocation of connection to third-party app

When entering, visit the App in your settings. Revoke access for any third-party application that you don't recognize.

Update your password on trusted third-party apps

If an external app is trusted using your Twitter password, make sure to update your password in the app. Otherwise, you may be temporarily locked from your account due to failed login attempts.
