YouTube Starts Joining Users When Comments Are Decreased Policy

JAKARTA - Google is improving its automatic detection system and machine learning system to identify and remove spam that appears in the YouTube video comment column.

During the first six months of 2022, the YouTube team removed more than 1.1 billion comments containing spam. But unfortunately, spam players have a lot of tactics to do spam. Because of that, YouTube continues to improve its detection system for new types of spam better.

In addition, YouTube also found that many bots are trying to get into direct chats, and this will have a negative impact on streamers who are broadcasting live.

"That's why we've stepped up the detection of spam robots to prevent bots from logging into live chats. This update will make live streaming a better experience for everyone," said Rob, of the YouTube team on Google's support website for community.

The third increase is that YouTube is rolling out a new feature that is useful as a reminder when the user sends comments that violate the YouTube community guidelines.

In other words, YouTube will give you a warning when they detect and will delete the comments you provide, if they violate these guidelines.

Moreover, when users continue to provide some harsh comments, YouTube will sanction them by not allowing them to comment on any video for up to 24 hours.

"Our testing shows that this warning/waiting time reduces the chances of users leaving infringing comments again," explained Rob.

Unfortunately, this notification is only available for comments that speak English. But, YouTube expects to be able to bring it to more languages in the coming months.

"Our goal is to protect creators from users who try to have a negative impact on the community through comments, as well as offer more transparency to users who may have removed comments for policy violations and hopefully help them understand our Community Guidelines."
