Ismail also revealed that the government has also prepared a CEIR engine capacity of up to 1.2 billion to accommodate the IMEI of cellphones, and confirmed that it has discussed with the association to increase the capacity of the CEIR engine.

"Alhamdulillah, this is already going well, indeed the number is extraordinary, which is close to 1.2 billion. However, the available capacity is still safe," said Ismail.

"This capacity can be enhanced immediately, it's just a simple technical problem, and there is a commitment to add it immediately, hopefully there will be no technical problems," he continued.

Furthermore, Ismail said that the implementation of the regulation has been going well following the current signs of success, where the number of production of each brand has reportedly increased.

"The market yesterday was partially used or taken by blackmarket goods that have been replaced by legal ones. An indication of the legal brand owner, thank God, this IMEI policy has been successful, so we are guarding together so that next year and so on this system will run well," Ismail added.

The increase in production was confirmed by the Vivo Smartphone Indonesia Brand Director, Edy Kusuma. According to him, the IMEI regulation has helped educate consumers to be more aware and aware of the use of official products, which has an impact on increasing the number of production.

"In Vivo itself there is a positive impact. So, with this IMEI regulation, we have to increase our production capacity due to high demand. That's why when this regulation was implemented, it was very helpful for us as business actors," said Edy.
