JAKARTA - Following in the footsteps of Microsoft 365 and Google's Workspace, Zoom is starting to expand the evolution of its platform. During the Zoomtopia 2022 event, Zoom announced the launch of its new product, Zoom Mail and Calendar Activities.

"These new products are working with communications and collaboration offers that are already available in Zoom Meetings, Phones, Whiteboards, and Team Chat," Zoom Chief Product Officer, Odad Gal said in an official announcement shared on Twitter.

Gal revealed, this Zoom Mail and Calendar service will have two versions, namely a paid and free version.

The two users will later be able to connect email services and third-party calendars to Zoom and access them via the desktop app.

It didn't stop there, apart from Zoom Mail and Calendar CLients, Zoom also announced the new Zoom Mail Service (beta) and Calendar Service (beta).

Where, customers with Zoom One Pro or Zoom Standard Pro plans in the US and Canada will have the ability to create email accounts hosted by Zoom at no additional cost, through the new Zoom Mail Service.

"Customers with Zoom One Business or higher packages will even have the ability to set special domains," Gal continued.

Gal said the Zoom Mail service is designed for small and medium enterprises that require enhanced privacy without special IT resources.

The Zoom Mail service will offer end-to-end (E2EE) encryption for email sent directly between active Zoom Mail Service users and expired emails with limited access links for external receivers.
