JAKARTA - Microsoft announced that two games from the title Age of Empires will explore console platforms from the end of this year until early 2023.

"After launching and developing the games, it's a great time to bring them to old fans and new players on Xbox," said Emma Bridle, Director of Suara Customers, World's Edge in an announcement shared on Twitter.

The two titles are Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition which will arrive at Xbox on January 31, 2023, and Age of Empires IV which will arrive on the console at the end of this year.

The Age of Empires is a title that has grown over 25 years, due to the large number of players around the world who have conquered and succeeded in small battles and mastered multiplayer modes.

"We take care of our players and pay attention to what they tell us. So, after hearing the Age of Empires' request to make its Xbox console debut, we hear you and we agree!" he said.

With many team functionality considerations, Microsoft ensures that input in PC versions of the game will also be supported in the console version.

"We are also considering the functionality the Xbox players expect from their games so the game will include an optional cross-play between platforms, allowing you to play with friends on Xbox and PC," explained Bridle.

When released later, both console version titles will be available via Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, for players around the world.
