Mark Zuckerberg Wants To Make Facebook A Valid COVID-19 Vaccine Information Center

JAKARTA - Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed his desire to make his social media platform a valid information center for the public. In particular, in conveying information about the COVID-19 vaccine that is being developed.

So far, Facebook has helped spread information about COVID-19, quoted from CNBC International, Tuesday, December 1. The company also prevented related hoax content during the corona pandemic.

"There will be several important things we can do together. We have planned the dissemination of official and valid information about vaccines," Zuckerberg said when interviewed by Anthony Fauci.

Even so, this is only Zuckerberg's wish. He has not yet realized the development of Facebook as a medium that distributes information content to its users at once.

It is known that since last May, the company owned by Zuckerberg has indeed received protests from various groups for delivering false information and hate speech on the internet. Even though Facebook has tried to stop the spread of hoax content on its platform, during the pandemic and the United States (US) presidential election.

So far Facebook has also launched a special tab that manages related and official information regarding COVID-19. The same thing was applied during the US Presidential Election to convey the related information needed by its users.

Do not stop there, Facebook also began to announce its new policy in the delivery of information related to climate change. The social media network bearing the blue logo also bans unofficial advertising related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
