JAKARTA Recently experts in the UK have launched a design for the 'fly' ferry of electricity which is 100 percent zero-emissions. The ferry will escort paid passengers over the water in densely populated cities.

The passenger ship, called the EF-24, was built by the Belfast-based company Artemis Technologies, using hydrofoil to lift it out of the water. The technology allows it to sail smoothly over the waves.

Hydrofoil is a wing-like bar under the hull of a ship that cuts water as the ship travels, and creates an lift, similar to the aerofoil used in airplanes.

Wearing the hull above the water dramatically reduces barriers, and provides an estimated fuel cost savings of up to 85 percent compared to conventional diesel-powered ferries.

Being in the waves also results in a comfortable journey compared to other ferries, as it reduces the effects of sea ill for passengers.

Artemis Technologies has partnered with Condor Ferries to operate a pilot scheme by 2024 which will see the ability of the EF-24 ship with passengers walking between Belfast and nearby Bangor city.

A wider potential launch could be ferry carrying passengers in London instead of the Thames Clipper, a river bus service in Thames operating in partnership with Uber.

The 78-foot (24-meter)-long ship, which was officially launched into the global market on Monday, September 26, will be capable of carrying 150 passengers.

This ferry will have a top speed of 38 knots (43 miles per hour) and a battery range of 115 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 25 knots (28mph).

Artemis Technologies described it as a 'game changer' for the global high-speed ferry market.

The company's founder and CEO, Dr. Iain mediate, is a two-time Olympic screen champion for the GB Team and four-time American Cup veterans.

Dr control believes his company, which is a spin-off of the Artemis Racing team competing in the American Cup, can become a world leader in providing alternative transportation for congested cities.

The zero-emissions fee that will be seen leaving Belfast by 2024, exactly called Zero, will be our first to build at our manufacturing center in the city, but this is just the start, watershed told the Daily Mail.

According to him, many water-based cities around the world are grappling with challenges of population growth, congestion and pollution.

EF-24 passengers can provide direct green transportation solutions that compete economically with highways and trains in places such as San Francisco, New York, Venice, Istanbul, Dubai, and Singapore anywhere around the world looking for sustainable transportation alternatives that balance people's need to continue to move with the need to reduce carbon emissions, added target.

"Especially where new infrastructure is needed such as new roads or rail lines, this ferry will not only be the cheapest, but also the fastest and least disturbing way to eliminate carbon on transportation networks in water-based cities," he said.
