JAKARTA - Mercedes-benz Vans, a provider of private and commercial electric vans, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for strategic partnerships and production with electric vans with electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian.

The deal announced by the company on Thursday, September 8 aims to allow the two companies to work together in producing electric vans.

The two car brands also intend to set up new joint ventures in Europe to produce large electric vans for both Mercedes-Benz Vans and Rivian in the coming years.

Based on the announcement, the target is to build a new electric production facility that fully utilizes the Mercedes Lenz website in Central/East Europe.

"Rivian was created to encourage the world to shift from fossil fuel consumption by creating attractive products and services. We are pleased to partner with Mercedes اBenz on this project," said Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe in an official statement shared on Twitter.
