JAKARTA - Streaming platform HBO Max has announced that it is partnering with Snap Inc, a Snapchat app maker, to deliver AR experiences to celebrate the premiere of "House of the Dragon".

The prequel to HBO's favorite series, Games of Thrones premieres on August 21. To that end, Snap and HBO Max released selfie and worldview lenses for Snapchat users.

"Back to Westeros @HBO with the "House of Dragon" Lens. Use this dual-facing Lens to see the @HouseofDragon fly through your skies then bring out your inner Targaryen and become a dragon!" wrote Snap on Twitter.

According to the footage that Snap provided, you can use this AR lens using two cameras on your smartphone, namely the front and rear cameras.

If you use the front camera for a selfie, you will see an effect that will turn your face into a dragon, and when you open your mouth, you will let out fire like a real dragon.

Meanwhile, if you use the rear camera and face it to the sky, you will see a dragon from the House of the Dragon series flying above your head.

Snap says that the Lens will be available worldwide including in Australia, Europe, India, Middle East, North Africa, North America and many more. But unfortunately, when VOI tried it on Snapchat, the effect was still not available for users in Indonesia.

According to TechCrunch, for Landmarker Lenses, Snap and HBO Max have coordinated with Lens makers from around the world to build custom AR experiences in their local markets.
