Under Development, Block Screenshot Feature For One-Time Messages View Coming To Beta Testers

JAKARTA - On August 9 yesterday, the big boss of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg announced three new features that will increase the security of WhatsApp users in sending messages.

The three new features are hiding online status, leaving groups without notifications, and the last is blocking screenshots.

This screenshot blocking allows the recipient of a one-time view of your photo or video to be unable to take a screenshot.

Unlike the other two features, when it was first announced, Meta said that the feature to block screenshots of one-time messages was in the process of being developed and being tested.

Now, according to information from WABetainfo, the feature is still under development for beta testers on Android.

However, based on the screenshot WABetainfo posted, it shows how the newest feature works.

The screenshot shows that Meta will pop-up with warnings containing "The message will disappear from the conversation when you close it" and "Also, you cannot share, forward, copy, save or take screenshots of this above".

Please note that this feature is still under development, so it cannot be rolled out to beta or global testers yet. Please wait some time ahead.

On the other hand, the feature to leave groups without notification and hide online status on WhatsApp, the company promises to release this month.
