JAKARTA - New skins in games made by Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard are accused of plagiarizing the design of the FPS Deaddrop.
Deaddrop is a multiplayer PvP game currently under development at Midnight Society, the new studio founded by streamer Guy 'Dr Disrespect' Beahm.
According to a note from IGN, the game will use NFT, and players can purchase the NFT 'Founders Pass' which gives them unique skins.

This skin which is claimed to be similar was discovered by Twitter user ModenasHD last Tuesday. He pointed out that one of the new Call of Duty skins, named Doomsayer, looks very much like the Deaddrop skin used by former COD developer Robert Bowling.
"I thought Robert Bowling would be happy to see that Activision just added its own skin in Vanguard," the Twitter user wrote.
This incident comes after some time ago another Call of Duty skin named Loyal Samoled was accused of plagiarizing the 2019 artwork by Sail Lin.
At that time, Activision removed the skin and apologized. “We love Loyal Samoyed, but unfortunately we made a mistake in our process and have removed this image from the game. We apologize for the misstep.”
For the current case, there has been no official response from both parties, either Activision or Midnight Society regarding the alleged similarity of Deaddrop skin.
