JAKARTA - Oppo is introducing its latest concept phone with a rollable screen. Oppo X 2021 is the name of the cellphone introduced at the Oppo INNO Day 2020 event.

The Oppo X 2021 was developed with an innovative continuously variable OLED display, which can have two sizes. The smallest size of this screen is 6.7 inches, while the largest is 7.4 inches.
The concept of this device also carries three technological inventions that are proprietary to Oppo, including the Powertrain Roll Motor, 2-in-1 Plate, and the high-strength Warp Track screen laminate.
"2 in 1 plate screen technology, the structure of a screen comb. The left and right sides when rolled have a gap of 0, really tight to keep it smooth," said Aryo.
In the process of developing the Oppo X 2021 device, Oppo has accumulated various experiences including patent rights. Specifically for the Oppo X 2021, Oppo has filed 122 patents, 12 of which are related to the scroll screen mechanism.
Oppo X 2021 is a form of exploration for Oppo to pursue a new form of future smartphone. This exploration has been carried out by Oppo since 2013 when it released the Oppo N1, the world's first device with a camera rotating 206 degrees.

"Because it is in the form of a concept of what price, the exact specs do not know, the launch schedule is not yet clear. Oppo is committed to realizing it is further refined into real products," said Aryo.
