Billionaire Mark Cuban Calls Dogecoin (DOGE) Superior To Cardano (ADA), In What Way?

JAKARTA – Mark Cuban, billionaire from the United States and owner of the NBA basketball club Dallas Maverick, shares his views on cryptocurrencies. According to him, Cardano (ADA) does have various applications on its network but Dogecoin (DOGE) has greater potential.

The statement was made by the person who was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA on July 31, 1985 in an interview with Altcoin Daily. According to him, Dogecoin has more potential applications for now although Cardano may have a bigger opportunity as a smart contract platform.

Furthermore, the billionaire considers that Cardano has not had a significant impact despite successfully launching a smart contract last year. He also added that Africans are not using blockchain as much as Cardano expected.

This isn't the first time Cuban has questioned Cardano's abilities. Last year, he also had time to do the same thing through his Twitter posts.

“Are you, personally? Can you use ADA for anything? If so, what are you using it for? That's the question I ask about all cryptocurrencies. Did you know you use it for anything you think is valuable?” Cuban wrote at the time.

Commenting on the billionaire's remarks, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson expressed his disappointment and hoped he and Cuban could have a discussion at some point.

On the other hand, Dogecoin (DOGE) is indeed in the stage of massive improvement through The Dogecoin Foundation. Most recently, they plan to make DOGE a medium of exchange. DOGE developers have also successfully tested sending the meme coins without using the internet. DOGE transfers can be made using satellite radio transmissions.

At the time of writing Dogecoin is trading at IDR 1,085. DOGE prices are up 3.5% in the last 24 hours, according to data from Coingecko. Meanwhile, DOGE broke its all-time high price (ATH) of Rp. 10,338, which was recorded on May 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, Cardano's price was at the level of Rp. 7,906, a decline of 1.5% in the last 24 hours. On September 2, 2021, ADA broke ATH at the level of Rp44,039. ADA is currently 7th, while DOGE is 11th on the list of largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.
