JAKARTA - The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) appreciates the public's response to the implementation of the Private Scope Electronic System Operator (PSE) as part of public participation to create a secure digital space in Indonesia.
Deputy V, Presidential Chief of Staff, Jaleswari Pramodhawardani, said that the current dynamics in society also provide a positive impetus for national digital transformation and sovereignty policies.
"The state is present through the regulation of the arrangement, management, and supervision of the implementation of the electronic system (PSE) in the private sphere. With this regulation, the state can actually manage and supervise PSEs who hold personal data of citizens," said Jaleswari in a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Friday, August 5.
This Private Scope PSE registration is in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology No. 5 of 2020 concerning Private Scope Electronic System Operators.

The Director General of Applications and Informatics (Aptika) Kominfo, Semuel Abrayani Pangerapan, said that the implementation of PSE in the private sphere in Indonesia had considered many aspects ranging from legal, economic, security, socio-cultural aspects, and so on.
"As with other democratic countries, it is still necessary to regulate and manage digital spaces whose contents protect the interests of the parties involved, both the general public and PSE as providers that need to be registered in order to get protection from the government," said Samuel.
