JAKARTA - Disneyland Resort's Facebook and Instagram accounts were hacked on Thursday, July 7 with a series of inappropriate posts which were later deleted. This was announced by a Walt Disney Co source to the media.
"We are working quickly to remove disgraceful content, secure our accounts, and our security team is conducting an investigation," the US entertainment giant said in a statement, quoted by Reuters.
A screenshot of the Instagram post, which was posted online, contains a profane and racist post made by someone claiming to be a "super hacker here to take revenge on Disney land."

While Facebook and Instagram's parent company Meta Platforms Inc did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters about the embarrassing incident.
Luckily, on Friday morning Indonesia time, Disney's Instagram and Facebook accounts that had blue ticks, as a sign of official ownership, were able to return.
